Whew... I kept waking up all night - my body clock is pretty amazingly screwed up at the moment- although it's pretty screwed up all the time, so nothing new there.... | |
Jim is working silly hours at the moment, so he leaves the house at 4.30 in the morning.... but I was awake when he left so we grunted pleasantries at each other before he crawled out of the house on his pushbike. By the time Jason stirred at 8am I was awake again, having been back to sleep since Jim left. We chatted a bit and drank copious amounts of caffeine before heading into the city. Jason drove us to the Bart station and we took the train - the station I needed to go to is ironically the station closest to where Jason works.... so we went in together all the way. I realised when we came out of the Bart station that I had forgotten to bring my camera - so no pics on this entry! I wandered around the east of the city for a couple of hours before going off to do a couple of things I had arranged.... but there's a heatwave going on here at the moment, and I felt myself starting to burn after a while - and despite running straight into the local Walgreens to get some sun-screen and moisturiser, I have now gone a subtle shade of scarlet.... | |
I headed back to Jim & Jasons for about 5pm, expecting Jim to be home - but he wasn't! He was in the process of buying a car, a bright red latest model Ferrari I think, he'd called the dealer when he got home at 4.30 and it was ready for collection - so he ran as fast as his legs would carry him all the way there. He was there for hours so I just stayed in and got savaged by the dogs. Jason got back first, and Jim finally showed up at 8pm.... he claims he was in the car dealers all that time. Personally I think he went for a drive up the coast.... | |
I'm meeting up with reX tomorrow - Jim offered to drive me in.... anyone would think he had a brand new car or something.... | |
