What was that Phil Collins song? oh - that's it - "Another day in paradise". No, actually it was "Against all odds". Or was it "Jesus he knows me"? Whatever, it's totally irrelevant to this entry, so I'll stop rambling and get on with it.
This entry covers the last two days, because I didn't do one yesterday. Well, if newspapers can do it, so can I. Thursday started with me waking up. Well, I'm sure it started before I woke up, but I don't know what happened before that as I was asleep. But I digress.... a little.... and I've forgotten what I was going to say now....
Oh, that's it - I got up and took the bus down to the Bart station and took the train into SF for a meeting. After the meeting, which went on longer than I thought, I was meeting reX - but his show had just started, so I chilled (Californian for "did nothing") by the bay for an hour. Here's proof. | | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
So after chilling, I went up to reX's - and spent an evening with him and Gene. We had pizza and beer, and reX entertained us by re-organising his closet. I didn't put a pic of reX here because you know what he looks like anyway.... and if you don't, go and look at his site. He needs the visitors. It's on my links page.
So today I slept in at Jims, and didn't really do that much. Well, I went shopping at Safeway, and bought dinner. But Jim was too tired to wait for me to cook it, and Jason was meeting a collection of studs, so I decided to put that off until tomorrow. So instead, we just had a couple of beers and watched some television. American TV is almost the same as TV in the UK - we watched "Keeping up appearances" and "Are you being served". The good thing about American TV is that a 30 minute programme lasts 2 hours because of all the adverts.... at least Jim stayed awake this time.... well, almost.... | | ![]() |
Not sure what's happening this weekend, but it's Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, which is obligatory for anyone who's ever seen a film with Judy Garland in it.... and I know you all have "The wizard of Oz" at the back of your closet.... it's just behind "The sound of music collectors edition" complete with wig and make-up....
Until the next entry.... Rob.
