Monday was a day for sitting very still and doing very little. Which I have down to a fine art at work, so it doesn't take much to translate that to leisure time.... I got up late, had a snooze in the afternoon and apart from a quick rescue mission in the early evening, just sat out in the garden.... | |  |
and made sure the TV didn't sneak off because no-one was looking at it.... | |  |
"Rescue mission?" I hear you ask.... *waits for you to ask* Ok, well, Jason takes his motorbike to the Bart station every day, then takes the train into the city. He obviously had other things (called Troy) on his mind, because when he got back to the Bart station to get on his bike and come home, he realised he'd left his helmet at work.... luckily he had a spare, | |  |
so Jim and me drove down to the Bart station in Jim's stretch Limo and gave him it. | |  |
then just spent the evening watching TV and chatting. | |
Tuesday started much the same - sitting out in the garden.... | | |
and just chilling round the house. Jason had a day off, and wanted to buy some socks - so we went to the "Mall" - that's a shopping centre to everyone else.... where we went to Macys, J.C.Penneys and a whole bunch of other shops. Jason bought a jacket, a couple of sweaters, a couple of T-shirts and some underwear. Oh, and a pair of socks. I bought a long-sleeved T-shirt, and some Calvin Klein underwear and T-shirts. All I need now is a Calvin Klein body to put them on.... | |
We went to Safeway later, and bought some milk, water and juice. And I bought some pitta bread. It's impossible to buy "back bacon" in America - it doesn't exist - it's all streaky.... so I bought some fat-free chicken breast instead. | |
Relaxation is the key - and I'm doing loads of it this week. Although I'm going over to reX's again tomorrow, and meeting Joe on Friday, so who knows what could happen! | |
only 4 1/2 days left - it's running out far too quickly.... | |
